In a dramatic ending the Burbank Tigers staged a comeback and held on to win
over the Tampico Stogies by the count of 5 to 4.

Burbank had the game winning rally in the top of the 9th inning when they
tallied 5 runs on 3 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Brian Roberts
who silenced the ballpark as he caught a hold of a bad pitch for a Grand Slam
homerun (his 4th of the season). Burbank managed only 6 on the afternoon.

Casey Janssen(1-1) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. Jesse Crain
gained credit for his 4th save. Derrick Turnbow(2-3) was given the loss in
relief.

Mike Aldrich was understandably not very talkative after his team's tough
loss. He quickly showered and changed and when asked about the game had a
terse, yet polite response, 'Hey fellows, that game was a heart-breaker to
lose. Our guys gave it their all and played well - fate just wasn't smilin'
on us this afternoon'
